The Partnership for Children

The Partnership for Children (PFC) was founded in 1999 as a collaboration of Tarrant County organizations and individuals that focus on three broad early childhood issues:

  • Early Childhood Health (includes physical and mental health issues),
  • Early Childhood Safety (includes neglect & abuse issues),
  • Early Care & Education (primarily licensed/regulated child care, but also includes informal caregiving, school readiness, ISD pre-K and Kindergarten issues).

While there are number of other Tarrant County collaborations, social service providers, and community advocates that focus on one of these early childhood arenas, The Partnership for Children is positioned to link the three and explore more sustainable community solutions for addressing these issues.

Membership in the PFC is open to any organization or person that has an interest in ensuring that all Tarrant County children under six years old are nurtured, protected, and provided the optimum learning opportunities to prepare them for school and life.

Mission:

To actively promote and support a positive community environment for children under five in Tarrant County.

Vision:

All Tarrant County five year olds are ready for educational success and for achieving their potential as contributing members in the community.
