Strategic Planning

In 2002, the Partnership For Children Executive Committee began a strategic planning process that included:

  • SWOT Analysis by University of Dallas MBA students,
  • Early Childhood Expert panels, and,
  • Strategic Planning retreats.

In February 2003, the Partnership Executive Committee approved a 2003-2004 Strategic Plan created by the Strategic Planning Committee (members on page 10 of the report).

The Strategic Planning Committee first created a set of Statements of Principle that would not only guide the design of the strategic plan, but would also guide future decision-making of The Partnership for Children Executive Committee and General Membership.

An outline of the most recent strategic planning information for 2006-2008 can be found below.  To view the complete plan see 2006-2008 Strategic Plan.

caring adults around each child.

Focus on the developmental needs of all children under five, with a
special emphasis on those who are most at risk of failing to be ready for educational success.

Seek solutions at the
community level and work toward systems change.
